Hey guys, just found your podcast a few days ago and I'm a big fan. I
of course have my own opinions on many of the topics you've discussed
so far, but I often find myself saying "Right on, right on" or "Solid
pick!" while listening.

The one show I HAD to respond to,
though, was number four, regarding utility players. The person whom
I've always viewed as the ultimate utility player was Bip Roberts.

Year Position (Games played)
1989 RF (21) CF (1) LF (34) 3B (37) SS (14) 2B (9)
1990 LF (75) 3B (56) SS (18) 2B (8)
1991 CF (29) LF (19) 2B (68)
1992 CF (16) LF (69) 2B (42) 3B (36)
1993 CF (1) LF (11) 3B (3) SS (1) 2B (64)
1994 CF (5) LF (16) 2B (90)
1995 CF (4) LF (48) SS (7) 2B (25)
1996 RF (1) CF (2) LF (8) 2B (63) DH (16)
1997 CF (3) LF (82) 3B (10)
1998 (traded a few times, but played in right, center, left, third, second, and DH)

Overall RF (29) CF (88) LF (492) 3B (147) SS (40) 2B (501) DH (45)

The
second name that jumped immediately to mind, being a Yankees fan, was
Randy Velarde. I won't run through his year-by-year for you, but
overall he played RF (15) CF (4) LF (99) 3B (293) SS (262) 2B
(630) 1B (15) DH (18) and these were spread out fairly well
throughout each season also.

My last one (still being a Yankees fan) was Luis Sojo: LF (12) 3B (158) SS (184) 2B (456) 1B (41) DH (11)

Thanks for the podcast and keep 'em coming!
Christopher
